How warm is your pool?
Our teaching pool is heated to 92°F to ensure an enjoyable swimming environment. The teaching pool is also 3 – 3 ½’ deep so that children can feel more secure during their lessons. Back
Should my child wear goggles to lessons?
This is a matter of personal preference; however, we encourage using goggles to help your child get used to putting his/her face in the water. Goggles help protect your child’s eyes from the water, and they allow your child to see what’s around them while they are swimming. If your child has lost their goggles or you need to purchase more pairs, stop by the front desk at our center to check out our selection. Back
What should I bring to my child’s lesson?
Make sure to bring your child’s swimsuit and towel. We have locker rooms with showers, so if you would like your child to shower after his/her lesson, then you should bring shower toiletries as well. Back
Is there an age limit for private and semi-private lessons?
We do not have an age limit for private lessons. All ages are welcome.
Back
Where do I sit during my child’s lesson?
We have a viewing room for parents that overlooks our pools. We ask that parents sit in the classroom during lessons to prevent possible distractions on the pool deck. Back
Can I take a picture of my child during his/her lesson?
Feel free to take pictures/video of your child during lessons. Please, however, be sure to take pictures of only your child. Back
How can I leave a message for my private lesson instructor?
Call the front desk to leave a message for your private instructor. We will contact them immediately. Back
Is there a lost and found?
We have a lost and found at the front desk. We also have lost and found goggles on the pool deck. If you leave something at our center, just stop by to check or call the front desk. Back
How early should I arrive for my child’s lesson?
Most parents show up about 5-10 minutes prior to the start of lessons because it gives them time to get their child changed and settled on the pool deck before classes begin. Back
Can I switch from group lessons to private lessons, or from private lessons to group lessons?
Yes, if you want to switch the type of lesson that your child is taking, just let the front desk know. We will transfer the money in your account and apply it to your new lessons. Back
Should my child wear jewelry during lessons?
Your child can wear jewelry during his/her lesson; however, we do not recommend it. Rings and earrings often fall off during lessons and become distractions. As such, we advise parents to remove their child’s jewelry prior to lessons. Back
My child has long hair. Should I tie it back for lessons?
Yes, long hair is difficult to swim with because it can cover your child’s eyes. We advise that parents either tie long hair back with a hair tie, or cover long hair up in a swim cap. Back
What are my payment options for the lessons?
We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. We also offer payment plans where you can pay as you go. If you are interested in a payment plan, you must sign a payment plan agreement at the front desk that will indicate the amount due and the due dates for the entire session. Back
How many times per week should my child take lessons?
Most children have lessons about 1-2 times per week; however, some children attend 3-4 times per week. The number of lessons that you choose to schedule for your child is really a matter of personal preference. The most important thing to keep in mind is consistency. Just like anything else, practice makes perfect, and the more your child comes to lessons, the quicker you will see results. Back
