About Us
Owner, Ross Seymour, originally moved to the United States for a swimming scholarship at Oklahoma State University. After becoming an All-American collegiate athlete, he represented Australia in swimming at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, Canada. He then received his Master's Degree from Florida State University.
Recognizing his true passion for aquatics, he created Swimming Pool Management Systems, Inc. in 1983. In 2003, he expanded S.P.M.S. to build the DuPage Swimming Center, which is currently the home offices of S.P.M.S. and its sister company Pool Guards, Inc.
Nora Schroeder graduated from North Central College with a degree in Biology. She swam in high school at Naperville North, and college at North Central University. She has coached U.S. club swimming for the past 20 years, and presently coaches 11-12 year olds for Maverick Swim Club. She is currently in charge of Pool Guards, Inc.
Ashley Seymour graduated from the University of Miami of Ohio with a degree in Sociology. While there, she was a member of the MAC All Conference team all four years. She was an 18-time All American in High School, where she held 4 state records and 2 national titles. She currently teaches private swim lessons for the DuPage Swim Center and aids in curriculum creation.
Lauren Seymour graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Justice Administration and Sociology. While there, she was a four time Academic All American in swimming, and also received The Outstanding Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year Award. She then earned her Law Degree from Seattle University School of Law. She is a Lesson Coordinator and she also teaches private lessons at the DuPage Swim Center.
Cory Mantei went to school at Western Wisconsin Tech University where he studied HVAC. He presently teaches group lessons and is also a Lesson Coordinator for the DuPage Swimming Center. He also is a certified Red Cross CPR and Lifeguarding instructor. He additionally aids in training and certifying the instructors at the DuPage Swimming Center. In the summertime, he manages Stonegate West Community Pool and Maple Hill Condominiums for Swimming Pool Management Systems, Inc.
